Diakonie Stodulky Center held an Open House on Monday 16th September 2013.
Two projects were officially launched and celebrated:
- Transport: A new car has been purchased for the Early Childhood Intervention Center for counsellors to use when they visit families with handicapped children.
- Heating System: A new water/air heat pump is now up and running in the main Diakonie Stodulky building.
During the day, representatives from their day/week care center, early childhood intervention, social therapeutic workshop and administration staff were available to speak to guests.
Guests included clients, other non-profit organisations and officials from the City Hall.
Sponsors, represented on the day by Ms. Elizabeth Neale, were thanked for their support in fully funding the building’s new environmentally friendly and economical heating system.
The Center´s director, Mr. Jakub Suchel, also introduced future plans. Next year, Diakonie hopes to expand the building to accommodate two new rooms to the day/week care center and improve access to the garden.
