Charity Gala was set up in December 1999 to support Broken Silence, a charity that provides speech therapy and family support to children born profoundly deaf.

Over the years we have branched out to support other causes including the paediatric department at Motol, the foster mother project at Beroun Children’s home, the mobility and garden projects at Diakonie school in Prague 6 and Pink Crocodile therapy group for complex needs children.  We have also donated funds to the Cystic fibrosis charity, CMV, the home for blind adults, Krtek and Drop of Hope.

Since its inception, the committee has raised more than 33 million Czech Krowns for local charities in the Czech Republic.
