English National Ballet and Winser London

She Persisted is an all-female choreography programme.

It tells three iconic stories and shows three bold works on and by women.

Broken Wings
Iconic painter Frida Kahlo is the heroine of Annabelle Lopez Ochoa’s Broken Wings, a colourful ballet full of warmth and passion. Based on Kahlo’s life and art, it is “a marvellous image of creativity and power” (The Independent).

Nora
Stina Quagebeur choreographs her first work for the main stage. Nora is inspired by the lead character in Henrik Ibsen’s play A Doll’s House, a woman on the path to independence.

Le Sacre du printemps (The Rite of Spring)
Pina Bausch’s production features 13 male and 13 female dancers on a stage covered in soil. Dancing the selection and sacrifice of a terrified victim, it is as gut-wrenching and galvanising as Stravinsky’s score, performed live by English National Ballet Philharmonic. Le Sacre du printemps returns following sold out performances in 2017.

A lucky Charity Gala winner can spend  a day on the set of Whiskey Cavalier courtesy of Stillking Films, enjoy a degustation menu with friends at Kampa Park and sample three carefully selected cases of fine wine.

Thank you for supporting the 2017 Charity Gala “Cocktail”.

We are delighted to tell you that we raised over 4 Million Czech Krowns for our charities on Saturday night. This makes 2017 our most successful gala ever!

We owe a huge part of this success to the fabulous team at Mlynec and to all of our generous sponsors, many of whom support us year after year.

We are extremely grateful for your kind donations and look forward to working with our charities to ensure that your money is put to good use.

In 2018, we will work with the following charities:

  • Childhood Leukemia Investigation Prague (CLIP): Funds raised will be used to support diagnosis and tailoring of treatment for leukemia patients and ongoing research into leukemia in the Czech Republic and Slovakia.
  • Diakonie Center: Money will be used towards the purchase of a transport van that is specially modified for children with mental, physical and multiple disabilities.
  • Beroun Children’s Home: Our contributions will fund horse-riding lessons, swimming lessons, pet therapy, music therapy and trips to the salt caves.
  • Skiing for the disabled: We will fund ski-courses for disabled children.
  • Pink Crocodile School Prague: Money raised will be used to purchase specialist equipment to help children with complex and multiple disabilities live their life.
  • Dedina Center: Our money will continue to support a program aimed at fostering greater independence for blind and visually impaired adults.
  • Motol ORL/Broken Silence Foundation: We will contribute towards the purchase of specialist surgical equipment and continue to support the post-surgery rehabilitation program for children with cochlear implants.
  • Department of Projects, Grants and Clinical trials at Kralovske Vinohrady: Money raised will be used to purchase specialist equipment for neonatal care.

We will update you throughout the year on our progress and you are very welcome to visit our charities with us in the new year.

Adventures in Sri Lanka

The Amazing World of Gumball!

Gumballtastic! Two lucky winners will have unprecedented access to the launch celebrations of Gumball 3000 in London.  

Gumball 3000 is an annual British motor rally that combines cars, music, fashion and entertainment. This year will celebrate the event’s 20th anniversary and this is the first time the Rally has set off from London in eight years. 

For the uninitiated the number 3000 marks the length of the route in miles (over 4,800 km) and at the end of the race the “Spirit of Gumball” cup is awarded to the crew that best embodied the spirit of the event. The cup is full of chewing gum.

Dear friends

Thank you for supporting the 2016 Charity Gala “A Midsummer Night’s Dream”.

We are delighted to tell you that we raised a record breaking 3.5 million Czech Krowns for our charities on Saturday night.

In 2017, we will support the following charities:

  • Department of Pediatric Hematology Oncology: This department treats chidlren with cancer. Charity Gala donations will contribute towards the purchase of a Flow Cytometer for the accurate diagnosis of leukemia.
  • Diakonie Center: Diakonie supports families of children with mental, physical or multiple disabilities. Funds raised will be invested in garden renovations.
  • Beroun Children’s Home: Beroun is a residential home for complex needs children. Our contributions will fund horseriding lessons, swimming lessons, pet therapy, music therapy and trips to the salt caves.
  • Skiing for the Disabled: This year we will sponsor ski courses for disabled children.
  • Pink Crocodile School Prague: Pink Crocodile helps complex needs children. We will pay for physiotherapy at school.
  • Dedina Center: Dedina offers a support system for adults with impaired vision. We will continue to support a program aimed at fostering greater independence.
  • Motol ORL / Broken Silence Foundation: Broken Silence supports deaf children after their cochlear implant surgery. Funds raised will contribute to the purchase of specialist surgical equipment. We will also continue to support a program to help children after their cochlear implant surgery.
